My name is Victoria Gasparyan. I was born in Russia in 1992, but spent almost all of my childhood in Armenia. My mother tongue is Armenian, and since the age of 4 I have been able to converse in two completely different languages.
After successfully finishing high school in Russia, I continued my education in England. I was accepted into John Leggott College where I chose to study A-levels in Psychology, Sociology, Politics, Media Studies and GCSE in Spanish.
In 2008 I won the Olympiads of both English and Russian languages, I also won an economic contest in my hometown. Furthermore, I was always a very active person: I was a presenter in several public concerts in Russia and in England; in 2010 I was chosen to be an international councellor in John Leggot College; in 2011 I was awarded a certificate for a special contribution to the College life.
I have been given a conditional offer to study at UCL where I want to do Politics and East European Studies. I like to explore the world around me and, apart from doing an undergraduate course at UCL, I'm planning to do a course in creative writing in order to further my knowledge of good writing. In the future I am planing to do MSc degree in Politics at Yale University, I'm also planing to study psychology at Open University.
I hope that after gaining a qualification in one of the most prestigious universities in the world, with my enthusiasm and hard work, I will be able to fullfill my dream to protect the rights and interests of my nation.
