Top Down Thinking Seminar

Artur Khalatyan: MS at LSE (view bio here)
In order to create an efficient dialogue, concrete examples to think with are a must. This process aims at demonstrating the TDT approach.

In preparation for the first LUYS November Brainstroming Session, Arthur Khalatyan invited participants of all ages to engage in a thinking exercise based on two concrete case examples. He invited everyone to generate ideas ideas, based on their own experience, observations and perception of what would be the ideal outcome.

Two Thinking Exercises:

1.UNIVERSITIES

Since most of us are students or aspire to become one, we invite you to think about what kind of suggestions you would propose in order to improve the way universities carry out their mission, their methods of teaching, what kind of technological support do they need, what links and networking structure to create, how to evaluate professors, how to better methods of examination etc.

2. MOTIVATION LETTER

Think of the areas you want to study and what is missing in education that you wish to complete in a different institution.

Also browse the website(s) of universities of your choice and try to understand what stands behind their high rating (core values). Is it the organization of the course, a leading thinker heading the research team you wish to join, and generally what is you really like about the university you wish to apply to, etc…

The more ideas you bring into the brainstorming session the better you will understand the TDT approach, while designing your piece of communication.
