Jacqueline Karaaslanian Executive Director of Luys Education
Jacqueline Karaaslanian was born in Armenia, educated in France and lived in the US.
She is Executive Director for Education Programs, for the Armenia based Luys Foundation.
She has experience in leading collaborative design, strategy building, and management of large-scale educational programs worldwide.
Jacqueline Karaaslanian worked with the founding members of the MIT Media Lab at its initial inception where she worked for the past 25 years as Director of Special Projects for the Future of Learning Group and Media Fabrics Group. She has been instrumental in building projects with the MIT research teams and going from design to full implementation of avant-garde technology rich learning environments.
She was married to the late Dr. Gregory Gargarian, composer and researcher at MIT.
Gayane graduated from the Institute of Foreign Languages after V.Brussov, Yerevan, Armenia. Although she was trained as a linguist, her work experience has been in managing large-scale international projects. She coordinates the Luys programs and the work with the staff, students, lecturers, foreign organizations and local businesses.
In addition to her mother tongue, Armenian, she fluently speaks English, Russian and French. Gayane enjoys painting, watching movies and loves hiking.
Anahit Evoyan Executive Assistant and Media Liaison
Anahit graduated with a Masters Degree from Yerevan State University Faculty of Journalism. She is trained as a reporter and editor and is presently pursuing a doctorate degree through independent studies.
Anahit is the Luys Executive Assistant and in charge of communications. She assures the liaison with all Luys students and is the editor for the Luys News Network both in English and Armenian.
In addition to her mother language, Armenian, Anahit fluently speaks English and Russian. Anahit has a passion for music, she plays the piano.
Harout holds a Masters Degree in Computer Programming from the Yerevan State Engineering University. He has a very wide range of programming skills and enjoys the challenge of keeping up with the rapid progress in his field of expertise.
In addition to his mother language, Armenian, Harout fluently speaks English and Russian. He is a trained classical music player, his instrument is the piano. Harout also loves playing football and chess.
