I was born in April 24th, 1989 in Yerevan.
I got my initial education in the school N30 after G. Hovsepyan and after 7th grade in the Lyceum named after Anania Shirakatsi in 2001. After the high school I was admitted to the Physics Department in Yerevan State University (YSU), where I got Bachelor's degree in Physics and Pedagogics in Physics in 2005.
Right after graduating from YSU I was admitted to the Duke University's Physics Ph.D. program.
While studying for my degree I am working as a Teaching Assistant, teaching the labs. I was awarded The Mary Creason Memorial Award for Undergraduate Teaching for 2009-2010 academic year.
For me the most important issue is that Armenian students can get decent education without having to leave the country. That's why I hope that after getting my degree I'll be able to support the development of the higher education in Armenia.
