I grew up in Yerevan. After graduating from the secondary school No 114 named after Khachik Dashtents I was accepted to the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, department of Political Sciences. In 2006 I moved to the United States, California, which was the turning point in my life. After having some time off form the school, I resumed my education in the field of Political Sciences at the College of Marin in San Francisco Bay Area. At the college, I became a board member of the Student Senate and the nonprofit student-run organization called Associated Students. Parallel to my education I became a volunteer at the American Red Cross as a Disaster Action Teem trainee and customer caseworker, where I acquired new skills and was trained to organize various first aid operations during disasters.
After obtaining Associate of Arts degree in Social Sciences in 2011, I have been accepted to Columbia University, where I will continue working on my Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Sciences. I strongly value the role of education and I acknowledge the education as the only foundation for upward mobility.
"I think, today more than ever, Armenia needs well-rounded and good educated cadres who want to lead the country toward democracy and freedom, toward rule of law and highly appreciated human rights."
