I was born into a family of an economist in the village of Mets Masrik in 1989. I attended the elementary school in our village. In 2003, by winning the Gifted Children Contest, I was admitted to Quantum College in Yerevan, and this opened up a door to a completely new world for me - numerous contests and Olympiads, fascinating classes, wonderful teachers. I actively participated in school life and was awarded many honors and prizes in numerous Olympiads, including Physics Olympiads.
After the high school, I entered the Department of Physics Department at Yerevan State University. At YSU I worked independently a lot which, together with my self-organization, helped me succeed in such fields as solving non-standard problems in physics, calculus, and group theory. My hard work soon paid off when in 2009 I was awarded the annual Presidential award for the Best Bachelor Student in IT sphere; furthermore, in 2010 I was recognized as the Best YSU Student. Over the past two years, I've also won silver and gold medals from online international math contests.
In the past three years I have been collaborating effectively with the leading scientists of Yerevan Physics Institute. Currently I am involved in a research project under the guidance of Prof. R. P. Manvelyan of YerPhI. The problem we are conducting the research on is related to high spin interactions in quantum field theory. Moreover, I have recently had the first part of my research published in Physics Letter B journal.
By the end of 2010 I applied to ETH Zurich Physics MSc program and got accepted in 2011.
Nowadays knowledge being the primary weapon, people with broad outlook and insights are of exceptional value for communities. For the Armenian World this issue is particularly important. My chief aim is to become a world-class scientist in the future, to establish scientific links between Armenia and the world scientific communities with the intention to spread the experience and knowledge of renowned institutions in my homeland.
