I was born in Yerevan in 1986.
From 1993 to 2003 I attended Daniel Varujan School No.89. During school years I have participated in many school Olympiads in literature, Armenian, French and essay writing with good results.
In 2003 I started my studies at Yerevan State University, Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, Department of French. I got my Bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature in 2007 and my Master's degree in French Philology in 2009, both with honors.
During university years I won several competitions organized by the Department of French and obtained various certificates (OLYFR@N Internet-Based French Language Contest, Certificate for GREF study ''Expression and Communication'' etc.).
I like travelling very much. I am very interested in artistic activities (painting in particular), literature, psychology and, of course, in linguistics.
This is why I applied to Geneva University and in 2009 was admitted to the Department of Linguistics for Certificate of Specialization in Linguistics. I am studying pragmatics, which is a relatively new branch in Linguistics. This programme is aimed at preparing advanced students to doctoral studies and I intend to write my doctoral thesis in the area of pragmatics.
