The idea of pursuing mathematics occurred to me when I was studying at A. Shahinyan Physics-Mathematical Special School in Yerevan. There I joined the Math Olympiad Club and started taking my first steps in mathematics. I was successful at several national and international Olympiads and became a bronze medal winner at the 46th International Mathematical Olympiad.
In 2005 I entered Yerevan State University (YSU), Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics, after having successfully passed the interview and earning the highest scores. This year I received my Master’s degree in Mathematics from YSU.
In 2010 I worked as a programmer-engineer for Embedded Systems Start-up Company for about five months. This work gave me an opportunity to work in such an environment where I could translate my ideas into action.
In 2011 I applied for MAST in Applied Mathematics program at the University of Cambridge and got admitted. I believe, in the future when I look back, I’ll evaluate this event as a turning point in my life.
After enrolling in the University of Cambridge I was recruited by Coca Cola Hellenic Bottling Company Armenia. I will keep on working there till my studies begin at Cambridge.
