I was born in America, in the state of New York, in 1988. I have lived there my entire life, save brief stays outside of the country. Most recently, I spent five months in Armenia teaching English language, learning Armenian language and gaining a greater appreciation of my heritage.
From 2006 to 2010, I attended Cornell University in upstate New York. There, I studied literature with a concentration in early 20th century American literature. After an inspiring experience teaching in Brooklyn during my junior year, I decided to become an English teacher.
Having returned from Armenia, I am greatly looking forward to studying at Columbia University and pursuing a Masters of the Arts in English Education. I am extremely excited to begin my career as an English teacher.
