I was born in 1989 in Yerevan. I spent my childhood in Shahumyan village near Echmiadzin. At the age of seven I went to the elementary school in our village. After two years of study our family moved to Yerevan. Studying for four years at Grigor Narekatsi School, I learned about Quantum College. I participated in a competition for gifted children and won the first prize. It gave me an opportunity to study in one of the best colleges in Armenia. During those years I participated in many Olympiads in different subjects (math, informatics, physics, and chemistry) and was awarded a number of prizes and diplomas.
During my studies at the College I also used to attend chess lessons in Tigran Petrosyan Chess House. I had a great success in this sphere too but realized soon that I had to choose between physics and chess and finally gave priority to physics, which I will never regret about.
In 2006 I entered Yerevan State University, Department of Physics. Showing excellent academic performance, I started to gain in-depth knowledge in elementary particle physics. Meeting with one of the best scientists in the field from Yerevan Physics Institute was pivotal for me too.
Currently I am enrolled in a graduate program in Physics at ETH Zurich, Department of Theoretical Physics. I hope that I can become a useful person for the whole world and for my country as well. I think investing in human resources is the only way to guarantee the development of the country. Therefore, we must do our best not only for us, but also for Armenia.
