I was born in 1990 in Yerevan. Immediately after finishing Artashes Shahinyan Special School of Physics and Mathematics in 2006, I entered Yerevan State University, Department of Radiophysics. In the 3rd year I chose specialization in Telecommunication and Signal Processing and now I see it was a right decision, since with each passing day I find it more and more interesting.
During my 4th year of studies I did internships at ArmenTel Company and National Instruments. After receiving Bachelor’s degree I was admitted to Telecommunication and Microwave Engineering Master’s program in the same department at YSU. In spring 2011 I took part in the Orange Innovation contest of innovative projects in telecommunications organized by Orange Armenia. I won the second prize and got an opportunity to do an internship in the above mentioned company. I will consider it to be a much bigger achievement if my project is implemented in Armenia at some point.
I think my extracurricular activities also contributed to my achievements. In my childhood I used to engage in aircraft modeling and became a champion of Armenia among my peers. During the last 2 years I have been exploring and developing my leadership skills at AIESEC.
Enrollment in Communication Systems Master’s program at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) is one of my most important achievements. I believe that an MS degree from EPFL will have a vital influence on my future career. Upon finishing my Master’s course I am planning to invest in the development of telecommunication domain in Armenia. I am sure that studying at EPFL will give all the necessary knowledge and experience.
