Series of English Classes
Anna Barseghyan
Spring of 2010
The series of English classes launched on April 27, ended June 2010.
Anna Barseghyan noted, that during the course of the 10 classes, students made remarkable progress and already feel more confident and prepared. The students had a chance to understand how to successfully submit applications to leading Universities worldwide. They explored the different writing techniques. They wrote essays and discussed and compared their respective works.
Lectures, discussions, videotalks in English by well known native speakers, helped enrich their vocabulary and their command of the spoken language. Enrolled participants represented different Universities in Yerevan. Some of them combined study and work. A few students were getting ready to take the TOEFL/IELTS exams. Theses exams are a requirement in order to be able to apply to some of the leading Universities.
"In addition to learning a lot, I met many interesting people, exchanged ideas with them on different subjects", noted David Ghazaryan.
Mariam Dilbandyan commented on how richer her English vocabulary is after this period of 10 classes. "I have truly improved my communication skills. I now understand how to engage in a conversation, for example I understand how to be considered towards others, while presenting some unique aspects of my profile and manage to maintain people’s interest".
All participants to Anna’s class have a deep respect for her coaching skills, her non-formal approach to learning. They also enjoyed the quality of the course material she regularly prepared for her students.
A Second Series of English Classes will be offered in September, 2010.
