Juris Doctor

Norayr Mejlumyan

I was born in December, 1988 in Yerevan, Armenia. I attended school N.189 named after Samvel Gevorgyan in Davitashen district until 2002, when my brother and I made the move to the United States to join our parents. I graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in Glendale, CA in 2007 and chose to start my higher education from community college instead of going straight into a university.

In Fall, 2010, I transferred to California State University, Northridge, where I studied and earned my degree in Business Administration, with a focus in Business Law. During my entire undergraduate experience, I worked and maintained a healthy balance between school and professional life. I worked at Bank of America from 2008 until 2013, held many titles and dealt with consumers on daily basis until I changed markets and went into a different sphere. From 2013 to 2015, I worked for a lead generation company, had the chance to deal with many lenders and learned a great deal about the Internet commerce and online lending. I left the company when I started to pursue my legal education in 2015.

My legal education started at Southwestern Law School. After my first year, I was fortunate enough to transfer to University of California, Berkeley, School of Law and finish my legal education here. I will graduate from UC Berkeley in 2018 and intend to move back to Los Angeles and become a litigator.
