I was born in Yerevan, Armenia. Since my school days, I have been intensely interested in biological sciences and it was this fascination toward Biology that forced me to enter the faculty of Pharmacy of Yerevan State Medical University after M. Heratsi (YSMU) in 2003.

After completion of my studies with outstanding performance in 2008, I embarked on a year-long residency/internship at YSMU in my field, which I completed in 2009 with honors and was offered a job at YSMU as senior laboratory assistant.

However, at the same time I also realized that in order to achieve important breakthroughs in my chosen field, an advanced graduate training in Pharmaceutical Sciences was vital. So, as a result of my dedicated efforts I was admitted to ETH Zurich as a graduate student in 2011. At the same time, I was also admitted to the University of Copenhagen, and UCL.

However, finally I gave my preference to ETH Zurich which is one of the leading universities in the world in the development of science and technology.
