I was born in Yerevan on October 13, 1990. In 1997 I was admitted to Secondary School # 172. In 2005 I transferred to PhysMath School at Yerevan State University.
During my studies at PhysMath School, I participated in various Olympiads in Physics, Mathematics, Informatics and Astronomy in Yerevan, as well as in other competitions held across Armenia and abroad, always winning diplomas and awards. In 2007 I participated in the International Physics Olympiad and won the bronze medal.
In April 2007, I participated in the 6th Scientific Cadets Conference at V. Sargsyan Military Institute with a concept paper written on the Doppler effect and its application, and during the conference, I was awarded with the First Diploma for the best research work.
In late 2006, I was one of the select few students to be enrolled in the educational program of “AYB” Foundation. I attended the English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry courses of "AYB" Educational Center. These courses helped me greatly to get acquainted with various educational systems around the world, to improve my English skills, to become more organized, to look at problems from different angles, to be a team player.
In 2008 I was admitted to MIT. I'm already a second year student at MIT, majoring in Physics and Computer Science.
I hope that I’ll bring the knowledge and experience I gain in the U.S. to Armenia, building bridges of science through exchange programs between the U.S. and Armenian universities, creating research relationships between their scientific worlds.
