I was born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1990. I attended public school No 144 after Khachik Dashtents for 7 years. Afterwards, I studied my 8th year of secondary school in the college of State Engineering University of Armenia. In my 8th year I participated in physics Olympiads and became the champion of Armenia in physics among 8th year students. The next year I transferred to Physmath school after Artashes Shahinyan. In the same year I was involved in the team of Armenia in physics. At the end of the year I participated in the 36th international physics Olympiad in Salamanca, Spain, and got an honorable mention. At the same time I participated in Euro-Asian astronomical Olympiad and got a first class diploma. Later, I participated in physics Olympiad devoted to the 40th anniversary of physmath school, taking the first place. At the end of the Autumn semester of my 10th year of studies I participated in Zhaultikov International Olympiad and got a bronze medal. At the end of the Spring semester I participated in the 37th international physics Olympiad in Singapore and got a bronze medal.

After graduating from school I entered Yerevan State University (YSU), physics department. During my second year of studies I participated in the competition organized by IREX for the Global UGrad program and won it. I studied one academic year (2008-2009) in Roanoke College, Salem, VA, USA. During my studies at Roanoke College I did two research works: Investigation of Bose Einstein (theoretical) and Thermal Z-Scan (experimental). I had a talk on both works in a conference devoted to the 90th anniversary of YSU. The first of these papers was published. I graduated YSU with Excellence diploma.

I am studying at ETH Zurich for my Master’s degree since 2011.
