I was born in Yerevan in 1990.
When I was 9 my family moved to Ukraine. There I spent the rest of my school years.
In 2006 I was admitted to the Department of International Relations at Donetsk National University (DonNU) and graduated from it in 2011 getting a Master’s degree with honors. While studying, I also worked as a project manager at the Center for Political Studies which is one of the oldest non-governmental organizations in Ukraine. There I had an opportunity to implement the theoretical knowledge I was getting at the University in a practical political analysis activity. Thus, one of the most interesting projects I had the honour to conduct was a round-table discussion devoted to the signing of the Armenian-Turkish protocols on normalization of bilateral ties. Both the Armenian and Turkish sides through the mediation of leading experts were engaged in it.
Right after graduating from DonNU I was admitted to the National University of Singapore (NUS) to pursue a PhD in Political Science. There I intend to continue my research I started in Ukraine and to go deeper into the matters of international and regional security.
Upon my graduation, I am eager to return to Armenia and use my understanding of politics and security to make a difference in South Caucasus which still remains a zone of fragile peace, unresolved territorial disputes, closed borders and stands under the weight of new threats. Generally, new thoughts, new ideas and multiple approaches are required there. I hope that my experience at NUS will be of benefit to Armenia.
My interests include reading, art, religions, social movements and many others.
