About ICLaw - Armenia
About the Center
International and Comparative Law Center is a Non-Governmental Organization (hereinafter - ICLaw), which was founded in September 2010 by a group of young legal-scholars, who, prior to the establishment of ICLaw were extensively involved in academic activities, thus ripening of the idea and the establishment of the ICLaw.
The main goals of the ICLaw are:
To achieve the above-indicated goals, the ICLaw will utilize the tools mentioned below:
Upcoming projects in a short-term perspective
In the nearest future the ICLaw plans to organize scientific discussions, conferences on Nagorno-Karabagh problem, international legal regulation of the Genocide against Armenians, as well as on other international-legal and comparative-legal topics timely for Armenia. ICLaw plans to prepare and publish an academic periodical publication, as well as organize other events to advance the development of International and Comparative Law.

In order to achieve the goals put before it ICLaw is open for cooperation and networking with other relevant NGOs, as well as with respective state structures.

Main goals
The main goals of the ICLaw are:
- Promote deeper understanding of International and Comparative Law, acknowledgement of importance of those in the development and strengthening of the Armenian statehood
- Strengthen the rule of law in international relations and foreign policy
- Conduct researches aimed at improving, developing and strengthening the legal system of the Republic of Armenia
- Increase the sense of justice of the civil society in Armenia
- Initiate and implement international legal analysis of the issues on the foreign policy agenda
- Initiate and conduct research on the best practices of main legal systems.
To achieve the above-indicated goals, the ICLaw will utilize the tools mentioned below:
- Scientific research and analysis
- Publication of periodic reports
- Preparation and publication of an academic-practical periodical (Year Book)
- Organization of academic-practical events
- Networking and co-operation with similar scientific institutions around the world
- Maintaining internship programmes
- Other activities, which will contribute to the achievement of the goals and objectives put before the ICLaw.
